I have over 21 years of health care industry experience focusing on managed care. I have worked for health insurance companies and a hospital corporation. While working for a hospital corporation, I have been responsible for provider network development and contract negotiations with health plans, medical groups and ancillary providers. I also have experience in operations, finance administration, regulatory compliance, strategic planning, and supervision. Part of my accomplishments included negotiating or renegotiating agreements that earned the hospital system several million dollars in additional revenue. I have also participated in revenue/reimbursement enhancement projects that brought in several million dollars in non-payments and short payments to the hospital. I have collaborated with industry leaders to develop a contract language guide to protect hospitals in contract negotiations. While working for health insurance companies, I managed and expanded health care delivery networks, negotiated contracts with hospitals, trained contract administrators, and developed department policy and procedures.
My education includes a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science and Management Development Programs in Health Care.
