Aleta I. Ledendecker

Aleta Ledendecker has extensive experience and expertise in the Montessori Method of education. In addition to her Montessori Teaching credentials for Early Childhood and Elementary students (received from St. Nicholas Training Centre, London, England), Ms. Ledendecker has a MEd. in Adult Education with a focus on distance learning.

She is recently retired from being owner/administrator/teacher at New Horizon Montessori for 36 years. She also served as a teacher trainer at both the Early Childhood and Elementary levels, first with St. Nicholas Montessori Training Centre, and later with Montessori Educators International, Inc., where she was also director of of the program. Ms. Ledendecker also served as secretary/treasurer of the International Association for Teacher Education for two years.

Since retiring from teaching and teacher training, Ms. Ledendecker has been a consultant for Montessori schools around the country.

She has been on the faculty of William Howard Taft University since 2012.
