Accreditation Review Approval

Accreditation Review Approval

Every five years, The Taft University System’s (TUS) accreditation is reviewed by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC). TUS consists of William Howard Taft University, which includes schools of education and business, and Taft Law School. On June 21, 2019, the Commission met and voted to renew accreditation through June 2023.

In a letter officially announcing the renewal, DEAC Executive Director Leah K. Matthews stated, “Accreditation by DEAC is a reliable indicator of the value and quality of the distance education that an institution offers. In receiving this grant of accreditation, TUS has demonstrated its commitment to educational standards and ethical business practices that assure quality, accountability, and improvement in higher education.”

The Taft University System has offered distance education degrees since 1976 and has been continuously accredited since 2003.
